Taking on the challenge:

Designing for long-term medical care presents the challenge of balancing accessibility and a comprehensive layout of important information. A key goal to this site was ensuring vital information that a specific user may be looking for would be easy to access amongst a wealth of other information. The client had the request to include ads throughout the site without inhibiting the overall user experience. It was also essential to include relevant blog posts and articles to further enhance user engagement and provide ongoing education.

Creating the framework:

Wireframes and UX were a big part of this project before any designs could be created. I worked alongside the UX team at Unleashed Technologies as well as the client to ensure the best overall user journey. We went through several rounds of wireframes to make sure we had the perfect foundation to build upon focusing on user experience and ease of access to essential information.

After all of the initial preparation, it was easy to lay out a clean, yet visually appealing design for users of varying age groups. When selecting imagery for this site, I tried to select images that would appeal to those in long term care, their families, as well as those working in the industry. Colors needed to be bold to make for the clear separation of sections. In addition, I needed to be certain that the layout would easily translate to a great mobile experience.
